It has been noticed that a small minority of children are not keeping themselves safe near the roadside at the field gates each morning.

With effect from Monday 21st September, I have made the decision that all Year 6 children will enter school, and be collected, from the gate on the school car park next to my office. Please see map below.

Please remember that our carpark is for staff use only

The Car Park gates will be locked to vehicles between the following times daily:

8.45am – 9.15am

2.45pm – 3.30pm

We politely request that vehicles do not block access to the car park gates and also advise against parking on or adjacent to the yellow ‘Zig Zags’. Parking Enforcement Officers do patrol the area and will issue fines.

Please park with care and consideration for our neighbours, turn your engine off while waiting and do not block access to the lane behind the houses on Colliery Road. There is a small area of land at the end of Colliery Road to park which is just a short walk from school.

Whilst waiting for the staff to open the gates for the children, please queue along the side of the school building and ensure adequate social distancing is observed. Start and finish times remain the same.
