19 May Planting Trees!
Ridley and his sister Edith applied for some sapling trees which were delivered to their house. They kindly brought them into school to donate to our forest school area. Some were fruit trees and others were birch.
Ridley and Edith, together with their friends and Mrs Goodfellow, dug holes and planted the saplings. They attached a bamboo cane and tree protector to all of the trees so that the saplings could be seen easily and would have a little bit of protection. We hoped that our gardeners would not drive their machinery over them and cut them down by accident.
We all had a lovely time planting and watering them and now we will watch them grow and develop for years to come.
