This week, the children in Year 6 have been learning about ratio in maths. So today, in aid of Shrove Tuesday, they put their mathematical skills to the test with pancake ratios.

For example:

The ratio of flour to eggs to milk to oil is
100 : 2 : 300 : 1 to serve 8
You need to serve 12.

The children worked excellently well in their cooking groups.

They even had a go at flipping a cold pancake in the classroom! Take a look:

Finally, they enjoyed them at the end of the day with some Nutella and strawberries.
