Riverside to the Rescue!

This week , we had some special visitors to our school. Tracy Allison manages the Community Hub in the Metrocentre and is running a project about plastic pollution in rivers and seas. Our school has been chosen to help with this project and our Year 5 children will be completing a survey and litter pick in July.

Tracy and her colleagues shared an assembly with our children discussing litter and how it can end up in the sea and rivers. The children were very knowledgeable and had some great ideas how to help with this problem. Year 5 had a classroom session and are looking forward to carrying out their litter pick very soon!
