11 Jul KS1 Trip to Bamburgh and the Grace Darling Museum!

KS1 enjoyed learning all about Grace Darling’s life and experimenting with lots of different items/clothing during the workshop.

We then explored the Church of St Aidan’s and its grounds finding both Grace’s grave and memorial site. Also, we looked out across the waves to Longstone Lighthouse where Grace and her father saved the nine sailors.

After a delicious picnic in front of Bamburgh Castle, we splashed in the sea, built sand castles and played with our friends, what a lovely day!
