15 Mar Angel of the North’s 20th Birthday
Our school has a new friend – our very own Angel of the North. Our angel will be spending weekends/holidays with boys and girls in our school so they can have some fun together and help tell people about one of the most talked about pieces of art in the country. This week our angel met British Olympic athlete Peter Bakare!
This year the Angel of the North turns 20 and our angel has been lovingly handmade, by volunteers from Gateshead Libraries Knit and Natter group, so we can help celebrate this milestone.
It would be great if you could share your child’s angel adventure by posting photos and stories on Facebook at www.facebook.com/OfficialAngelOfTheNorth using #angel20 or by emailing them to angel20@gateshead.gov.uk
By sending your image/story you agree that you’re happy for it to be shared online and that you have permission from everyone in the photo to submit it.
The most interesting story or photo will win an exciting prize so wherever you are going don’t forget to take our angel with you.
Please remember to bring our angel back to school so someone else in school can go on an angel adventure.
Have lots of fun!
