Year 3 and 4 Homework Projects

Year 3 & 4 have enjoyed learning about the Stone Age this half term. It has been fantastic this week seeing the children present their fabulous homework projects to the rest of their classes. The effort has been outstanding! !

Year 5 Fieldwork Trip to Watergate Forest Park

Year 5 collected data from a local woodland area as part of a fieldwork trip to explore a temperate forest biome. They learned about the different ecosystems found at Watergate.

Planting Trees!

Three lovely member of staff from the Metro Centre visited us today and gave an assembly about helping and protecting our environment. They talked about the importance of bio-diversity and the harmful things that happen to our planet. They kindly donated some sapling trees, as part of a carbon-offset scheme, which our Eco-Cops planted in the school grounds.

Anti-Bullying Week

To celebrate anti-bullying week Riverside have taken part in lots of fun activities. On Tuesday we wore odd socks, in our PSHE lessons we have discussed the importance of kindness and today we have dressed down in our casual clothes for Children in Need. What a lovely week we’ve all had and how kind are our wonderful children ! Well done Riverside.

What a turn out ! Thank you to all those who came into school wearing red today. As a school we stand against all forms of bullying. What an important message to share with our children and community. Well done Riverside !
