Planting Trees!

Three lovely member of staff from the Metro Centre visited us today and gave an assembly about helping and protecting our environment.  They talked about the importance of bio-diversity and the harmful things that happen to our planet.  They kindly donated some sapling trees, as part of a carbon-offset scheme, which our Eco-Cops planted in the school grounds.

To celebrate anti-bullying week Riverside have taken part in lots of fun activities. On Tuesday we wore odd socks, in our PSHE lessons we have discussed the importance of kindness and today we have dressed down in our casual clothes for Children in Need. What a lovely week we’ve all had and how kind are our wonderful children ! Well done Riverside.

This means we have been given the freedom to make choices for our school which bring the most benefits to our children and our families. We are no longer a Local Authority school and therefore, there are some differences in the way we do things at our school to the way they are done in others. … Read More
