20 Dec What a Fabulous Day!
The children in Year 6 have had an excellent Egyptian themed day today. Dressed in their neck collars and cuffs, they have taken part in many different activities.
Hieroglyphics – crack the code and bookmarks.
They wrote their own God and Goddess poems using the ‘If I were a Giant’ poem as inspiration.
Played an Ancient Egyptian game (Senet).
Turned themselves into pharaohs and queens!
Danced to ‘Walk Like an Egyptian’ and ‘Night Boat to Cairo’.
And finally, the favourite, mummified tomatoes!
We are all looking forward to our Egyptian banquet tomorrow.
