16 Nov Special Praise for Poppy
A very special announcement was made in Mrs Goodfellow’s assembly this morning to praise the efforts of one of our pupils, Poppy from Miss Kinghorn’s class.
Last weekend, Poppy’s younger brother had a fit at the family home, something which has never happened before. Poppy helped her mum by quickly getting a phone from upstairs so that an ambulance could be called, while mum stayed with her brother. Poppy followed instructions from her mum and then by paramedics who asked her to quickly get dressed for a ride in the ambulance. In a letter to school, Poppy’s mum said “At only 5 years old I didn’t think it was possible to be as calm and responsible in a situation like this. I am so proud of Poppy and would love her quick thinking to be mentioned in Friday’s praise assembly”.
